Welcome!

I want to live freer and truer to how God designed me. I want to live a meaningful, courageous life; to tap into the "soul-level" of living and portray the beauty of being a woman. I want to feel less tired, laugh more, and risk loving deeper. I want to feel safe to share my ideas, questions, triumphs, and faith. That, in essence, is what you'll find here.

Dear Alissa,
I am writing you this letter for your 12th Birthday. You are a very bright girl and I just wanted to let you know that I am there for you as you start getting into hurdles like girls competing against each other. Not everyone is nice but just remember to be yourself. If you have any questions about your body or anything else you can talk to me and I will listen. I know sometimes you don't want to talk to me or you are embarrased. But just remember when you need a Mom or Best Friend to talk to you about your body, boys, school, etc. I will be there for you. So have a great Birthday and just remember how special and much I love you,
Sincerely,
Your Mom

Dear Alissa,
I am writing you this letter as you turn 16 years old. I know that this is just one of many great Birthdays. This will be the year you get your drivers license, with that you will be more independant and confident. You can start dating, but we will have to meet the guy before hand. But with the independance there will be moments you will be scared on what to do, yoour friends will want you to do things that you don't want to do. Yes, you will make mistakes, but that is a part of learning. I want you to be confident in yourself and if you have any doubts I want you to be able to talk to me. I know you won't like everything I say but you are a great girl and I love you very much. I love you very much and you have grown into a beautiful young woman. Happy Sweet 16!
Love Ya,
Your Mom

Dear Alissa,
I am writing you this letter as you turn 21! This is a big birthday in many ways. Your are legal to drink. I know you have probably experimented in drinking and other things. But I hope that you think before you try anything. It can be fun, but it can also end up very bad. I will be there for you during your career, love life, marriage, kids, etc. Again, there will be stumbling blocks. You will have peer pressure. You might get more self conscience about your body, etc. Just remember you are a beautiful girl and just be yourself. Don't let anyone tell you different. Your define who you are in life. Your dad and I are there to support you whenever you need it.
Love ya lots,
Your Mom
